March 1997: Leave Marina Del Rey for Baja California finishing in La Paz.
April 1997: Explore Baja California's west coast.
May 1997: Sail into Gulf of Mexico to Mazatlan on Mexico's Mainland
February 1998: Reached furthest point south in Mexico- Manzanillo's "Las Hadas"
March 1998: Return to Puerto Vallarta to prepare for Pacific Crossing
April 1998: Leave Puerto Vallarta for Marquesas by way of Clarion Islands
May 1998: Arrive in Hiva Oa, Marquesas (3600 NM over 22 days)
May 1998: Sail through Marquesas to Papeete, Tahiti NOTE: Design Marquesas Protofarae
July 1998: Sail through Tahitian Islands to Mopelia Atoll NOTE: Design Tahiti Cyclone House
October 1998: Sail to Palmerston Atoll, Nuie and through Tonga's archipelago
December 1998: Sail to Russel on North Island of New Zealand (1000 NM over 6 days)

May 1999: Return to yacht & prepare for trip north to Fiji via Minerva Reef (1225 NM over 10 days)
June 1999: Arrive in Savu Savu Fiji and begin to explore Fijian islands
July 1999: Fijian Chief's permission granted to visit Lau Group, normally off limit to outsiders
August 1999: Return to explore Fijian's western Islands
September 1999: Leave Fiji for Efate Island in Vanuatu (564 NM over 3 days)
October 1999: Arrive in Santo, last island in Vanuatu archipelago. NOTE: Design Vanuatu Resort
November 1999: Sail to Noumea in New Caledonia (425 NM over 3 days)
December 1999: Leave Noumea for Bundaberg and then Mooloolaba, Australia (800 NM over 5 days)
May 2000: Return to yacht and sail north along Australian Coast
June 2000: Sail "over the top" of Australia to Aborigines Aran Land. Sail to Gove. (350 NM)
August 2000: Leave Darwin, Australia and sail to Roti Island, Indonesia (460 NM over 4 days)
September 2000: Sail west along Indonesian Archipelago to Bali.
October 2000: Sail north to Kalamantan to visit Birute Galdikas Orangutan Refuge on Kumai River.
November 2000: Sail north to Serutu Island and then enter Malacca Straits to Singapore.
December 2000: Sail north along Malaysian Coast en route to southern Thailand islands.
All year of 2001: Continue to explore Langkawi and islands between Thailand and Malaysia
January 2002: Sail from Thailand to Galle Harbor in Sri Lanka (1050 NM over 6 days)
February 2002: Sail from Sri Lanka to Oman with stop in Maldives (1700 NM over 11 days)
February 2002: Sail through Gulf of Aden's "pirate corridor" to Djibouti (760 NM over 5 days)
March 2002: Sail up Red Sea visiting Eritrea & small islands and bays en route to Egypt.

April 2002: Arrive in Ismalia after transiting the Suez Canal and visiting Cairo's sights.
Leave Egypt for Larcara, Cyprus (277 NM over 2 days)
May 2002: Sail north to Turkey and explore Turkey's coast and islands.
June 2002: Sail west from Turkey through Greek Islands.
July 2002: Continue to explore Greek Islands sailing around the Peloponnese to the west.
August 2002: Explore Greece's west coast and head north to Croatia in Adriatic Sea.
September 2002: Continue to explore Croatian Coast between Dubrovnik and Hvar.
May 2003: Return to boat in Dubrovnik and sail north to explore northern Adriatic.
June 2003: Reach furthest point north in Adriatic at Vrsar near Rovinj and head south.
August 2003: Leave Adriatic and sail south through straits above Sicily to Italy's west coast.
Explore Sardenia and Corsica enroute to French Mediterranean Coast.
September 2003: Arrive in Villefranche, France and sail along riviera to Marseille.
October 2003: Leave Marseille and explore Ballearic Islands enroute to Barcelona.
May 2004: Return to yacht in Barcelona and head back to Balearic Islands.
June 2004: Explore east coast of Spain before passing through Straits of Gibraltar.
July 2004: Arrive in Cadiz, Portugal to prepare for Atlantic Crossing.
September 2004: Return to yacht in Cadiz and sail east along Portuguese coast to Vilamoura.
October 2004: Leave Vilamoura for Porto Santo on Madiera Island (410 NM over 3 days)
November 2004: Leave Madiera island for Puerto Calero in Canary Islands (305 NM over 2 days)
December 2004: Leave Las Palmas, Canary Islands after final preparations for Atlantic crossing.
Arrive Port Charles Barbados after nearly 3000 NM voyage over 17 days.
January 2005: Sail south through Grenadine Islands towards Chaugarmas, Trinidad for refit and repairs.
March 2005: Complete repairs and head north through Grenadines to St. Lucia.
April 2005: Arrive in Martinique and sail north through Windward Islands to St. Thomas.
May 2005: Sail northwest through Leeward Islands and Bahamas to West Palm Beach, Florida.
June 2005: Sail up Inter-coastal Waterway to Deltaville, Virginia and fly to europe.
August 2005: Return to boat and sail shot distance north to Annapolis, Maryland.
October 2005: Shakti is hauled out for last time, "mothballed" for winter and listed FOR SALE.
TOTAL VOYAGE TIME: 8 YEARS 7 MONTHS AND TOTAL DISTANCE TRAVELLED: OVER 30,000 NM.
